Frequently asked questions
What federations, tournament organisers and clubs ask before they move their competitions to Martial Cup.
FAQ
What is Martial Cup?
Martial Cup is competition management software for combat sports. It runs online registration, weigh-in, draws, live scoring, mat-side screens, broadcast, results and rankings, and adds federation tools (licences, national teams, accreditation, travel, reports) and a club panel. Sumo Cup and Wrestling Cup are its sport products.
Which combat sports does it support?
Sumo and wrestling run on it today. Judo, karate, taekwondo, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, MMA, kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai and sambo use the same registration, weigh-in, draw and results engine; the scoreboard and scoring rules are configured for the sport before your event.
How much does Martial Cup cost?
It depends on who you are. National and international federations get one annual plan sized to the federation — every module included, no fee per competitor and no commission on entry fees. Organisers of small tournaments pay an affordable price per event. Clubs pay a flat monthly plan with no per-member fee. Write to us and we send a quote the same week.
Do you charge a fee per competitor or per registration?
No. Many tournament platforms charge every athlete a booking fee or take a percentage of entry fees. Martial Cup does not: federations pay a fixed annual plan, organisers a fixed price per event, clubs a flat subscription. Entry fees stay with you.
Is there an affordable option for a small local tournament?
Yes. A one-day club or regional tournament can run on a low per-event price with registration, weigh-in, brackets, live results and printouts included. You do not need a federation contract to start.
Can you add a feature we need?
Yes — features on demand are part of the offer. If your federation needs a ranking formula, a selection report, a new scoring rule or an export to your ministry, we build it into the platform, usually within weeks. Because every sport shares one core, a feature built for you also gets maintained and tested with every release.
Can the system follow our own competition rules?
Yes. Age groups, weight classes, tolerances, draw systems (single elimination, repechage, round robin, pools, play-offs), seeding, scoring and tie-breaks are configured per sport and per federation, not hard-coded.
Does it work without internet in the venue?
Yes. Weigh-in, draws, live results, reports and status changes keep working offline on the devices already open; everything syncs when the connection returns. Sports halls rarely have reliable Wi-Fi, so this was designed in from the start.
Which languages are available?
The interface is translated into English, Polish, German, Ukrainian, Greek, Spanish, Bulgarian, Russian, Italian, Japanese and Norwegian; each product chooses the languages its federation needs.
Who owns the competition data and how is GDPR handled?
The federation or organiser is the data controller; we act only as the processor under a written data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). Consent forms, parental consent for minors and authorisation forms for coaches and administrators are generated by the system. Hosting is provided by Convex, Inc. (USA) under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Can we use our own brand and domain?
Yes. Each sport or federation can run as its own product with its own name, colours, logo and domain — like Sumo Cup and Wrestling Cup — on the shared, tested core.
How long does it take to start?
A demo on your categories and rules is ready within days. A first event can run within weeks, with our support at the venue.
Can athletes and fans follow results live?
Yes. Every event has a public page with live brackets, results by mat, medal tables and athlete profiles; mat-side TVs and broadcast overlays show the same data.
Can we import our existing athletes and historical results?
Yes. Start lists and squads come from Excel or CSV, and historical results can be imported into athlete profiles so records and rankings start complete.
Is there a mobile app?
The platform runs in any browser on phones, tablets and laptops and can be installed as an app. Mat operators, weigh-in desks and coaches use it on whatever device they have.
